Sodium hypochlorite is a powerful biocide and oxidizing agent that has been widely used in seawater cooling system to avoid the bio-fouling by marine organisms such as barnacles, mollusca, byrozoa, and sponges. They will lodge and grow at sea water intake structures, bar racks and screens, tunnel walls and condenser pipes. It results in reduced seawater flow rate and heat exchanger capability, corrosion of condenser pipes and metallic surfaces in power plants. The continuous injection of sodium hypochlorite solution at sea water intake with the concentration of 2 to 3 ppm will ensure the complete control of bio fouling. The sodium hypochlorite solution is produced by electrochlorinators in which electrolyzers made of mmo (mixed metal oxide) coated dsa titanium anodes and cathodes are the most important equipment. we have the expertise for the replacement or refurbishment of electrolyzers and other spares for electrochlorinators, executed by any of the oems, namely
