Vijicato-50 is a chemically modified amphoteric starch which has dual characteristics. In this, chemical modification is carried out by incorporating both cationic as well as anionic charges. Presence of both the charges here, imparts dual characteristics. Amphoteric starch is used as a wet end additive to improve retention of fines & fillers as well as internal strength of the paper.
Advantage : Wet-end - Internal strength of the paper & board, improvement in frp%, improves machine runability
Preparation : Prepare slurry of vijicato-50 in cold water till free of lumps at desired solids. The slurry can be cooked either by direct steam injection or in a jacketed vessel with continuous agitation. The complete cooking would occur only after reaching temperature at 90-95 deg c. The time to temperature should be 35-40 min. & time at temperature should be 15-20 min. When using a jet cooker, the starch slurry is to be heated to 110-130 deg c.

Vijispray is a modified spray starch possesses non- ionic charge. Spray starch slurry (uncooked) is to be sprayed by using a specially designed spray bar system on wire part before dry-line to improve both surface & internal strength properties esp., burst factor for Kraft paper/ surface properties for cultural paper / ply-bond for duplex board. The retention of spray starch sprayed on paper web is much higher results in reduction in etp load. The mechanism of this is. The spray starch (un-cooked) granules are entrapped by the fibrous web and subsequently gelatinized by heat available in the dryer section.
Application :
Advantages :
Preparation : The use of spray starch in cold water suspension of 1 to 10% solids (by metering pump) and 3 to 5% solids (by spraying) method is recommended to achieve excellent improvement in paper physicals. However, the dosage levels could be maximized depending on the properties required and quality of paper products.

Palm oil is the most traded vegetable oil in the world today and has been used as a dietary constituent for nearly five thousand years. Palm oil is obtained from the mesocarp of the Elaeis guineensis fruit, simply by cooking, mashing and pressing. In this process, the seeds are separated and after cracking and removing the shell, the kernel can be processed to yield palm kernel oil and palm kernel cake. Crude palm oil is obtained from the mesocarp of fresh fruit bunches. It is an orange liquid and semi-solid at room temperature, melting to a clear red-orange liquid on slight heating. Crude palm oil can be refined and further fractionated to widen its application. The following specifications are defined for export purposes:
Specifications :
During the crude palm oil process the fruit’s flesh is melted through a steaming treatment. The residual nuts are further mechanically crashed to extract the seeds or kernels. The crashed shells are called Palm Kernel Shell (PKS), a virgin biomass with a high calorific value.

Cooking oil, after being used three times, can cause heart diseases and cancer. However, what’s the point of throwing the oil away? Pouring used cooking oil into sink and drain will cause environmental pollutions, cling the insides of pipes and sewer system cause high cost of cleaning or else endangered marine’s life.
When you take your used oil to a certified centre for recycling, you are protecting the environment, conserving a valuable resource, and getting paid for it. That's a winning combination!
You can reduce the amount of public dollars spent on clean-ups the oil-clogged drains. Less filth means less chance of pests and rodents to breed and ultimately it keeps the drains and rivers clean, which means healthier living for everyone.
Recycling your used cooking oil creates jobs, reduces waste, saves money, improves air quality, and creates clean energy in our local communities.

The crushing of palm kernels produces crude palm kernel oil (CPKO) and palm kernel expeller (PKE). It is very similar to coconut oil in that it has a high percentage of lauric acid which allows it to produce hard soaps with good lather. Palm Kernel Oil is therefore a cost-effective substitute for Crude Coconut Oil in the production of quality soaps. Palm Kernel Oil is part of a group of Lauric Oils, which is largely used by the oleochemical industry for the production of cleaning agents and detergents.
