This is specially designed double mechanical seal having dry running faces and the success lies in selecting proper face materials and applying optimized seal closing loads on the faces.secondly all surfaces which are coming in contact with fermentation media are buffed to mirror finish, so that the surfaces undulations don't act as bacteria trap. To take care of any dislodged carbon particle which should not fall in the media, baffle arrangement is provided in the gland. Steam jacket is provided in the housing to keep seal area hot. Cold water also can be circulated so as to keep the sterility 100%. Suitable connections are provided in the gland and housing for steam sterilizing cleaning. The inboard is self closing reverse balance seal series 88B2. This requires no pressure T.S. vessel system and maintenance of the seal become very easy. The OB seal offers safety against atmospheric contamination and total seal unit reliabilty increases to such an extend that no fermentation batch is lost because when inboard seal lives it's life.

Series 20M & 20R1 are designed for extremely corrosive chemicals, including concentrated acids and salts, strong oxidising and reducing agents, and chemically active organic compounds. All components which come in contact with the liquid being sealed are made of chemically inert material. Metallic components clamping ring and springs are located outside the pump stuffing box. Series 20M : In this seal type Glass filled PTFE face is composite moulded with highly flexible PTFE bellows. Series 20R1 : It is a seal similar to Type 20M in design with replaceable seal ring. This permits easy removal and replacements of the seal ring, a cost saving feature. In this type different face materials can be used to handle a wide range of corrosive and abrasive liquids

Series 72 seals are single coil springs with elastomeric bellow. These seals are specially developed for water and oil application. These seals function independent of direction of rotation.

Series 40CG & 45CG is cartridge metal bellow inherently balance seal with O-Ring as secondary sealing member. Various face material & elastomers can be offer for wide service application. The compact cartridge design of seal permits their use in all types of centrifugal pump. The bellow unit eliminates the need of springs, dynamic seal and provides flexibility to the seal faces in addition to compensating for seal face wear

Series 2U is a single conical helical spring unbalanced seal with 'O' ring as secondary sealing member. Various seal face materials and elastomers can be offered for wide service application. As the torque transmission is done by conical helical spring, these seals are dependent of the direction of rotation. Direction of rotation is seen from the drive end of the shaft. Clockwise rotating shaft requires right handed spring and anti-clockwise rotating shaft requires left-handed spring. For easier fitting the conical helical spring should be pushed on the shaft with a twisting motion in the sense of the spring winding. This movement enlarges the diameter of the spring, enabling easy fitment.

Series 80BCG & 85BCG are cartridge multiple spring balance seal with O-Ring as secondary sealing member in series 80BCG & wedge as a sealing member in 85BCG. Various face material & elastomers can be offer for wide service application. The compact cartridge design of seal permits their use in all types of centrifugal pump. As all parts are interchangeable, one can convert series 80BCG to series 85BCG by changing only seal ring, secondary packing and mating ring packing. This concept is ideal for stock rationalisation.
