17-4PH is a precipitation hardening martensitic stainless steel, which combines high strength and hardness (after heat treatment) with excellent corrosion resistance, and is suitable for easy fabrication. Solution Treatments.As supplied 17-4PH is usuall in the solution treated condition (Condition A). It can be heat treated at different temperatures to offer a wide range of properties. Corrosion Resistance17-4PH stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance. Corrosion tests and service experience have shown that in all aged conditions it is superior to standard hardenable stainless grades such as 420, 431 and 410. Its corrosion resistance is comparable to grade 304 Stainless.

2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Bar2205 is a (two phase) ferriticaustenitic stainless steel with high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, as supplied in the annealed condition with a maximum brinell hardness of 290 (Rc31). Characterised by high yield strength, double that of the standard austenitic stainless steel grades, good fatigue strength plus excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, crevice, pitting, erosion and general corrosion in severe environments. Again generally out performing the standard austenitic stainless steel grades. 2205 cannot be hardened by thermal treatment, but strength and hardness can be increased substantially by cold working, with subsequent reduction in ductility. It is used extensively by the Marine, Chemical, Petrochemical, Pulp and Paper, Oil and Gas, Transport and allied processing industries. Typical uses are: Anchor Guides, Conveyors, Fasteners, Bushings, High Strength Pump Shafts, Propellor Shafts, plus various applications currently using standard austenitic stainless steel grades.

2083 is a martensitic stainless steel with high hardenability (good wear resistance) and excellent resistance to cold atmospheric corrosion and hot oxidation ( 660C). It also has good resistance to chemical products. Characteristics Corrosion-resistant plastic mould steel for processing chemically aggressive injection-moulding compounds, with good polishing and machining properties. APPLICATIONS: Better corrosion resistance than 1.2083. delivered in hardened and temperedcondition. Good polishability. Wear resistant moulds for corrosively acting plastics(like PVC), and mould holders.

NEAREST EQUIVALENT DIN 2316 (Code X36CrMo17) AISI431 JIS SUS431 CHARACTERISTIC Increased corrosion resistance in comparison with 1.2083, good polishability. This steel is usually supplied in the quenched and tempered condition. Good machinability due to the additional Ca-treatment with working harness of approximate 300HB Good Polishability , Molds for the processing of corrosively acting plastics ( Like PVC ) and Mould holder.
