This fish is a cross breed of two popular species of Grouper. This fish combines the good characters of its parent. It is a fast growing fish with firm but tender flesh.
This fish inhabits shallow silty reefs and estuarine areas. This fish is characterised by having a pointed head with brownish to greenish grey colour on the head and body and widely spread small spots all over the head, body and fins.
