Palm oil is an edible vegetable oil derived from the mesocarp (reddish pulp) of the fruit of the oil palms.The oil is used in food manufacturing, in beauty products, and as biofuel. Palm oil accounted for about 33% of global oils produced from oil crops in 2014.The use of palm oil has attracted the concern of environmental groups due to deforestation in the tropics where palms are grown, and has been cited as a factor in social problems due to allegations of human rights violations among growers. An industry group formed in 2004 to create more sustainable and ethical palm oil, through the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil. However, very little palm oil is certified through the organization, and some groups have criticized it as greenwashing.

Canola oil is also very high in healthier unsaturated fats. It's higher in the omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) than any other oil except flaxseed oil. ALA is particularly important to have in your diet because your body can't make it. Studies show that ALA may help protect the heart through its effects on blood pressure, cholesterol, and inflammation. The FDA allows canola oil makers to label their products with a qualified health claim that theres "limited and not conclusive" scientific evidence that switching out saturated fat for the same amount of canola oil may reduce risk of heart disease

Soybean provides protein of high biological value. Although Asia is its original source, the United States became the major world producer in the late 20th century.The valuable oil of the soybean, widely used in industry, is extracted either by solvents or by expellers. The amino acid distribution of soy protein is more like that found in animal protein than the protein from most vegetable sources; for example, lysine comprises about 5.4 percent. The oil content includes useful amounts of phosphorus; the phosphatide content of soy flour is about 2 percent and is a mixture of lecithin and cephalin. The low carbohydrate content exists mainly as sugars. The Table shows the amino acid composition of soy protein.
